How long does an appointment take?
Most visits take about 1.5 to 2.5 hours from arrival to a fresh, finished pup, depending on size, coat type, and service. Your dog is with the groomer the entire time β never waiting in a kennel.
Do you need my water or electricity?
Nope. Our grooming van is fully self-contained with its own warm water, power, heat, and air conditioning. All we need is a safe, level place to park near your home.
My dog is anxious (or a senior). Is mobile grooming right for them?
It's often the best option. There's no car ride, no noisy salon, no strange dogs, and no cage time β just one calm groomer and your dog, steps from home. We take extra time and gentle handling with anxious and senior pups.
What if my dog's coat is matted?
We handle matting humanely, prioritizing your dog's comfort over the haircut. Depending on severity there may be an additional charge, and in some cases the kindest option is a shorter trim β we'll always talk with you first.
Do I need to be home?
We just need someone to hand your dog off at the start of the appointment and receive them at the end. Many clients step back inside or take a call while we groom in the driveway.
How do I keep my spot?
Most of our clients are on recurring cycles of 4, 6, or 8 weeks. We'll recommend a cycle at your first appointment and hold your recurring slot on our neighborhood route β priority scheduling is the biggest perk of being a regular.
When can my puppy start getting groomed?
Puppies can start as early as 8β16 weeks, usually about two weeks after their first round of vaccinations. Early visits aren't about a fancy haircut β they're gentle introductions to bathing, brushing, nail care, and handling so grooming feels like no big deal for the rest of their life.
Are vaccinations required?
Yes β for everyone's safety, we ask that all dogs be current on their rabies vaccination. You'll share vaccination details when you create your dog's account, and we'll keep them on file so you never have to think about it again.
Is there a size or weight limit?
No hard cap. While many mobile groomers stop at 80 lb, our van and pricing are built to welcome dogs well past 100 lb β including Pyrenees, Bernese, and other gentle giants. Extra-large dogs simply take a bit more time, which is reflected in our transparent pricing.
Can I stay in the van during the groom?
We generally recommend a warm handoff at the door instead β most dogs are calmer and more cooperative when they can focus on their groomer one-on-one. You're always welcome to a tour of the van, and we'll come get you right away if your pup needs you.
Can there be additional charges?
Occasionally β heavy matting or impacted undercoat, extra handling time for reactive dogs, or significantly more time than booked. We assess your dog at the start of the appointment and always talk with you before any adjustment. No surprises, ever.
Do you groom in summer heat and winter cold?
Year-round. The van is fully climate controlled with both heat and air conditioning, so your dog is comfortable whether it's a humid Kansas July or an icy January morning.
How do I pay?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, contactless payment, and cash. Payment is due when the appointment is complete, and you'll receive an itemized receipt.
